Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) Sidewalk Widening

    • Georgetown BID installed approximately 3,400 linear feet of sidewalk deck panels on M Street NW and Wisconsin Avenue NW starting at the end of 2020

    • Reallocated approximately 130 on-street parking spaces to outdoor restaurant space, loading, and pickup/drop-off (PUDO) spaces

    • Provided a more welcoming experience for outdoor dining and created more space for pedestrians to walk in Georgetown safely and comfortably

    • Accommodated bus stops, on-street loading/deliveries, PUDO spaces, and limited on-street parking spaces

    • Prepared Comprehensive Transportation Review in accordance with DDOT Guidelines

    • Prepared the signage plan for revised curbside management

    • Proposed recommendations to improve traffic and parking conditions
